Announcing new co-chairs of our Research advisory council

We’re excited to announce the new co-chairs of our Research advisory council, Dr. Chiara Sabina and Dr. Carmen Alvarez. Dr. Sabina is an associate professor at the School of Social Work at Rutgers University and Senior Consulting Editor for Psychology of Violence. She centers her research on gender-based violence among Latinos from a strengths-based and culturally-informed lens.  Dr. Alvarez has a background in nursing from Emory University, and a PhD from the University of Michigan, and focuses her research on mental health and chronic disease disparities among survivors in minority communities. We’re thrilled to have Dr. Sabina and Dr. Alvarez co-chairing our Research advisory council
