This session includes 30 minutes of check-in and community building and 30 minutes of a short presentation by our Public Policy Manager, Yasmin Campos Mendez. Yasmin will talk about the passing of VAWA and implications for the Latin@ community

Consistently Latin@ advocates and practitioners working in mainstream and culturally specific organizations across the county, have expressed a sense of isolation and a lack of culturally specific tools to support survivors of gender-based violence. For this reason, Esperanza United will host quarterly peer to peer learning and networking circles dedicating the first 30 minutes to networking and the other 30 minutes to learning about culturally responsive tools, approaches, and programming. Participants must register to participate in the circles.
