Immigrant rights

The Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA 2013), combined with the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA), was signed into law on March 7, 2013, and have protections for immigrant survivors who have experienced domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking. Survivors have access to deportation relief by applying to a VAWA self-petition, U Visa or T Visa.
