Latin@ DV stats

National statistics about the experience of domestic violence among Latina women in the United States represent estimates that may vary by different methods of data collection. Studies have found that Latin@ youth who witness domestic violence are at higher risk for poor health outcomes. Immigrant women ( including Latinas) who are married are more likely to experience domestic violence than unmarried women. Nearly half of Latinas in one study reported abuse to authorities. They also report access to shelter less than others.
