Join us for a conversation with Vanessa Victoria, activist, advocate, speaker, entertainer, and writer, to hear her experiences of loss as she left everything known behind, her family, friends, language, and beloved island: Puerto Rico to safely transition as a trans Latina woman.  After leaving an abusive relationship, she used her experience to advocate for survivors of gender-based violence as an Advocacy Specialist at the New York City Anti-Violence Project
