Increasing language access in the courts toolkit

In early 2014, Esperanza United (formerly Casa de Esperanza) conducted a national assessment ofĀ the language accessibility of court systems to survivors of sexual andĀ domestic violence (S/DV), who have limited English proficiency (LEP).  

Socio-ecological model

The socio-ecological model is a prevention framework created by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). It is a tool to consider the complexity between individual, relationship, community, and societal factors to understand the factors that influence violence.
