All of the data you collect forms part of the information you can utilize for your evaluation.<\/span><\/p><h4><b>Types of information<br \/><\/b><\/h4><p>As a general rule, evaluation information is organized into two groups: numbers (quantitative) and words (qualitative).<\/p><p>When we talk about numbers (quantitative data), we mean information that helps us describe what exists and happens in terms of time, quantity, frequency. For example:<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>The average age of participants<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>The number of people receiving services per week<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>The number of sessions participants attended, etc.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p>When we talk about words (qualitative data), we mean information that helps us capture a deep understanding of participant\u2019s experience in the program or their personal stories. This can include information about the why, the how, and the consequences of participating in the program. For example:<\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>Opinions about the program<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>Descriptions of experience within the program<\/p><\/li><\/ul><ul><li aria-level=\"1\"><p>Descriptions of impact on their personal stories, etc.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h4><b>What are the sources of information?<\/b><\/h4><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sources of information can come from different areas<\/span> to inform your evaluation, including memos, reports, mail, attendance lists at events, financial reports, donation reports, workshops and presentation reports, census data, police records, blogs, newspaper articles, radio interviews, journal articles, social media, and research published by other organizations or
