Results demonstrate that culture and education should dictate the direction of further efforts to change power dynamics. Participants agreed that men and women can learn to see and understand gender roles in a different manner, including changing violent behavior towards women. They also agreed on the following directions: strategies to engage men in working to end violence should involve the whole family; men prefer to receive information from other men; and efforts need to be led by leaders from the community. Finally, there is a need to provide greater services for men.
