During Women\u2019s History Month, we are highlighting the incredible women across Esperanza United whose leadership, dedication, and work help strengthen our communities every day. This week, we are proud to spotlight Patricia Emmanuelli<\/a> from our Training and Technical Assistance team<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Senior Manager of Community Health and Violence Prevention, Patricia works closely with partners across the country to strengthen how organizations respond to domestic violence in Latin@ communities. Through Esperanza United\u2019s Training and Technical Assistance initiatives, she helps community organizations, coalitions, and service providers deepen their understanding of culturally responsive advocacy and build stronger systems of support for survivors.<\/p>\n

Her work reflects the belief that strengthening communities and supporting survivors requires more than services \u2013 it requires collaboration, learning, and shared leadership.<\/p>\n

For Patricia, that commitment is deeply connected to the meaning of International Women\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI recognize International Women\u2019s Day as el 8M and it represents more than a global celebration. To me it is a reminder of where my roots in the gender-based violence movement began. In Puerto Rico, March 8th and the days surrounding it are deeply connected to activismo, resistance, and collective action.<\/em><\/p>\n

In my work, el 8M represents accountability, solidarity, and the ongoing lucha for safety and dignity for women and survivors.8M grounds me in the understanding that supporting survivors is not just service provision; it is part of advancing social change.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Through her work at Esperanza United, Patricia continues to contribute to a growing network of advocates and organizations committed to building safer and more equitable communities.<\/p>\n
