During Women\u2019s History Month, we are highlighting the incredible women across Esperanza United whose leadership, dedication, and work help strengthen our communities every day. This week, we are proud to spotlight Silvana Domke <\/strong><\/a>from our communications team, whose work focuses on uplifting stories, amplifying voices, and connecting community experiences with the broader movement to end domestic and sexual violence.<\/p>

As Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Esperanza United, Silvana works to share the stories and voices that shape the organization\u2019s mission. Through storytelling, digital communications, and community engagement, her work helps highlight the experiences of survivors, the leadership within Latin@ communities, and the advocates working every day to support them.<\/p>

For Silvana, communications is more than sharing information \u2013 it is about ensuring that voices that are often unheard are recognized and valued.<\/p>

\u201cI decided to work in communications in this field because I believe the tools we have to tell stories can help lift voices that are sometimes left in silence. Using what I know to help others has always been something that feels deeply meaningful to me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Her understanding of leadership is also deeply connected to her own journey as a Latina immigrant.<\/p>

\u201cLatina leadership means something powerful to me. When I first moved to the United States almost six years ago, I felt a lot of fear \u2013 especially navigating a new culture and language. Over time, I discovered that being proud of who I am and where I come from became one of my greatest strengths.<\/em><\/p>

Sometimes obstacles that seem very big start to feel smaller as you move closer to them. Through that process, I realized leadership lives in our roots and in our resilience. Carrying our culture and identity with pride can inspire others to believe in themselves too.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

For Silvana, Women\u2019s History Month is a moment to reflect on the strength and unity that women have shown throughout history.<\/p>

\u201cTo me, International Women\u2019s Day and Women\u2019s History Month are reminders of how much women have fought to be heard and recognized. They are moments to honor that strength and to remember that together we continue creating change.<\/em><\/p>

Working at Esperanza United reminds me every day that survivors are not alone. Being part of an organization that supports courageous survivors of domestic violence means helping share their stories and reminding our community that hope and support exist.\u201d<\/em><\/p>

Through her work in communications, Silvana continues to use storytelling as a tool to uplift voices, strengthen community connections, and remind others that even one voice can inspire many more.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
