Latina women’s Equal Pay Day is December 8, 2022. This is a day to acknowledge the pay gap that Latin@ women face. Latina women earn 57 cents for every dollar paid to a white, non-hispanic man. This means that Latina women must work 21 months to make a white man’s yearly earnings (NWLC, 2021).

Our public policy manager, Olivia Garcia is attending at an event organized with Equal Rights Advocates on Capitol Hill, where she will hear from experts and policy makers on what can be done to turn the tide for wages and financial security for Latinas. We invite you to join @EsperanzaUnited on social media on December 8th to uplift the conversations around Latina financial empowerment.
