Access to training and technical assistance services for culturally specific community-based organizations

Dear OVW Grantees,

We are pleased to announce that ASISTA, Esperanza United, the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (API-GBV), and Ujima, The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community, have come together as a Culturally Specific Resource Consortium (CSRC). The CSRC is a training and technical assistance (TTA) resource hub that will enhance the current OVW TTA system for culturally specific community-based organizations (CSCBOs)

As a result of the project, OVW grantees that are CSCBOs will have greater capacity to provide culturally responsive services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking (DVSAS). Per OVW, “culturally specific” refers to organizations whose primary purpose is to provide services tailored to the needs of one or more of the following communities: American Indians (including Alaska Natives, Eskimos, and Aleuts), Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders, Black or African Americans, or Hispanics.

To get started and gain access to this consortium resource, please complete this registration and input form.

This consortium is developing an input form for you and your team to indicate which resources and virtual events your organization aims to have access to. We will share the form with you once it becomes available.

We look forward to working with you and THANK YOU for your being part of our community!
