BOLETÍN: COVID Mis, dis, and mal information

Esperanza United believes that knowledge is power and that everyone should have access to information and resources to make the best decisions for themselves. From our research and advocacy, we know that social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp spread mis and disinformation at high volumes. This became more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, many Latin@s1 experienced fear, isolation, depression, financial hardship, violence, and life-threatening injuries.
