Gender-based violence and Latin@ farmworkers

The individuals who work across the food supply chain keep us healthy and sustain our communities. The COVID-19 pandemic illuminated to a wider audience how those individuals, such as farmworkers, are integral parts of our communities (Liebman et al., 2021). Despite this, farmworkers lack the protections they need to live a life free from violence and often have experiences that do not respect their dignity and humanity. The goal of this report is to summarize research on gender-based violence (GBV) among Latin@1 farmworkers and highlight community leadership in prevention and advocacy.
