In celebration of the Day of Women of African Descent on July 25, 2023, Esperanza United, Yvette Modestin with Encuentro Diaspora Afro, and Anne Hernandez, had a conversation about African heritage, history, and roots within Latin America and beyond. “Its important that this day gets celebrated and uplifted as the Day of Women of African Descent. We need to uplift it to the point – we are still living not being seen in our human light. We need days like this.”
