Giving Tuesday 2022

Dear friends,

This year we have much to be proud of, we are so grateful for connection, community and collective hope.

Our Family Advocacy program worked with over 1,000 individuals from 286 households and responded to 1,220 crisis calls through our 24-7 bilingual crisis line. We also provided emergency shelter to 23 women and 22 children. The need, however, is greater than we have the capacity to address at El Refugio with at least 69 requests that we could not accept.

Our Prevention and Social Change program reached hundreds of Latin@ youth, women, men, and families. This year, 110 girls completed our Youth Amig@s curriculum with sessions on leadership, identity, teen dating and domestic violence, and sexual assault. Additionally, 125 boys participated in our Boys’ Healthy Masculinity Circles throughout the school year.

Our participants and communities inspire us daily. We celebrate when they reach their goals and strive to create the conditions for mutual thriving. Your support is paramount in affirming our vision that all families deserve to thrive and live in a world free of violence.

Give the gift of hope this Giving Tuesday, donate at esperanzaunited.org.

Thank you for supporting our work and being part of our amazing community.

Our warmest wishes to you for the holiday season,
